How’s that for a headline?

In today’s edition of “Become the best damn version of ourselves by any means necessary,” we’re going to talk about one thing, plain and simple…

Something I like to call “F You” Energy.

(The ‘F’ stand for ‘Forget’, obviously.)

Let’s do this…

The year was 336 BC.

Alexander the Great was conquering everything in his path. Everybody from Greece, to northern Africa, to modern day Pakistan was under his rule.

Without a doubt, he was the most famous and powerful man in the world.

As he traveled from city to city, entire regions would gather to welcome and celebrate him, so it was no surprise that the city of Corinth did the same.

Everyone gathered and cheered for Alexander as he entered the city… except one man was nowhere to be found.

That one man?

Diogenes of Sope.

Diogenes was a controversial philosopher who would eventually become known as one of the founders of Stoicism.

Alexander, though, very much wanted to meet Diogenes, so he tracked him down and found him sunbathing far away from the festivities.

You’d think that Diogenes would stand up and shake Alexander the Great’s hand, right?

Wrong. He was unamused by ATG’s fame and accolades.

Alexander, one of the most powerful men in all of human history, stood over Diogenes and asked “Is there anything I can do for you?”

You know what Diogenes said?

“Yeah, you can get out of my light.”

Why you should care…

Have you ever met someone who, despite seeming drastically less deserving than you, has what you want?

Whenever I notice that in my life, there seems to be a common thread…

Those people just have an energy about them that [subconsciously] says “I don’t care how dumb, unqualified, or lazy I am. I am going to get what I want.”

I call that, “F You” Energy.

Not everyone is born with this, but it can be fostered, and when it’s coupled with actual skills and work ethic… magic happens.

So, I’ll leave the practical steps up to you today… How can you exhibit some “F You” Energy this week?

You know what it looks like. You know what it feels like. You know it when you see it.

But how are you going to harness it?
